In the heart of Old St. Mellons, at the rear of the Playing Fields in Ty'r Winch Road , are two excellent Tennis Courts. These courts are for the exclusive use of members of the Old St , Mellons Tennis Club.
Membership is available to families, adults or juniors, with annual fees currently being £25 , £12 and £5 respectively to village residents. Membership is also available to non-residents at slightly higher sums. For the annual fee, members can enjoy use of the courts at all times (limited only by the playing field opening times or use by other members).
In addition annual tennis tournaments are arranged, on a friendly (and only slightly competitive !) basis. In the last year an adult tournament was held although unfortunately it was not possible to arrange the usual junior tournament. Discussions are currently underway in the hope that tennis coaching for juniors can be arranged.
Additional members are always welcome. Existing members will be contacted shortly regarding the annual meeting and with a view to renewing their membership.
